A grandmother who was stabbed to death in north London has been remembered for being "devoted to her family".

Anita Mukhey, 66, a part-time NHS medical secretary, was attacked in Edgware at around 11.50am on Thursday.

The emergency services attended Burnt Oak Broadway and treated Ms Mukhey for knife wounds, but she died at the scene.

In a statement released through the Met Police on Sunday, her family said she was a "married mother and grandmother devoted to her family".

They added: "The family ask for privacy at this difficult time."
