The Canucks tied it on a man advantage of their own when Elias Lindholm tipped Brock Boeser’s wrist shot past Stuart Skinner. A few minutes later, Boeser was left alone in the slot and wired in another one. After an egregious Oilers turnover, Boeser popped a shot inside the post to make it 3-1 Canucks after one.

“It was a couple nice plays by them and they capitalized on their chances,” Draisaitl said post-game.

“You look at the amount of opportunities we have–we just have to be persistent and continue to push and we’ll get some more breaks,” Oilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch said.

“We need more saves,” Kris Knoblauch said. “Defence, along with goaltending, is very important to winning hockey games–especially in the long-term. It’s got to be better.”
