Kate HudsonandHugh Jackman are having a ball working together.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Hudson, 45, shared photos on Instagram of herself and Jackman, 56, as they recorded songs for their upcoming movie musicalSong Sung Blue.
"A little scroll of my final days filming and playing before holiday crunch time. What a work hubby @thehughjackman," Hudson wrote in the caption. "Can’t wait to share more then just our matching green eye balls. More to come."
Hudson and Jackman were announced as the stars of Song Sung Blue back on Oct. 14. The movie directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow) follows a real-life married couple from Milwaukee, Mike and Claire Sardina, whoformed aNeil Diamondtribute band called Lightning & Thunder.
The film is based on a true story and the2008 documentary of the same nameby Greg Kohs

The cast also includesMichael Imperioli,Fisher Stevens,Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir and Hudson Hilbert Hensley, according to a press release.
It will remark a return to big-screen musicals for Jackman, known forThe Greatest Showman(2017) andLes Misérables(2012). He most recently appeared on Broadway in a 2022 revival ofThe Music Man that ran through January 2023.
Jackman shouted out Hudson in his own Instagram post Dec. 11 when he shared a video showing himself getting his face shaved at the conclusion of filming his scenes, set to musician Diamond's song "No Words."
"The traditional wrap shave! Thank you to every single person who was and will be a part of this amazing film. More on that soon," he wrote in a caption to that video. "@katehudson you are one of one."
Song Sung Blue does not yet have a release date. In addition to a return to movie musicals with Song Sung Blue, Jackman announced Oct. 9 that he will perform a series of 12 concerts, titled "From New York, with Love," at Radio City Music Hall in New York City throughout 2025.
