Some boxing fans feel Tyson Fury looked 'nervous' as he refused to stare back at Oleksandr Usyk after their final press conference on Thursday evening.

The heavyweight unification bout gets underway this Saturday with Fury or Usyk set to go down in boxing history.

There's been a level of respect between the two fighters ever since it was first announced last year.

And that was on show during the final press conference as neither fighter wanted to get involved in a war of words.

Fury kept his words short and sweet as he promised to do his talking in the ring on Saturday.

"I want to thank Usyk for challenging me," he said.

"I aim to put on a show.

"I’m ready. Got nothing to say, apart from I’m ready for a good fight and if it’s tough or easy, either way I’m ready."

Usyk took a similar approach as he simply said: "I’m happy to be here. I’m excited. I’m grateful."

After both made it clear they weren't prepared to say anything more, they then made their way to the front of the stage to pose for photos.

Usyk immediately stood facing Fury, but the Gypsy King refused to look at his opponent as he continued staring straight forward.

Speaking after, Fury joked: "He's a scary looking dude."

But some boxing fans felt Fury's decision not to look at Usyk was a sign of nerves heading into Saturday.

One person said: "Never seen Fury look like that before, looks extremely nervous."

Another posted: "Usyk won this face-off, Fury is nervous."

A third wrote: "I think Fury is nervous and worried because he knows that Usyk is fearless and won't be intimidated."

One other person said: "It shows Fury is nervous. Usyk is calm. I pick Usyk but you never know with Fury tbh."

Usyk also appeared to be playing mind games with Fury on Wednesday during his public workout after hitting pads with an orthodox stance.

But Fury retaliated himself by switching to southpaw when he entered the ring later in the evening.
