Emily Carver sent a special thank you message to GB News viewers, listeners and readers today after she and her new husband Patrick Christys were inundated with well-wishes.

The happy couple have shared some photos of their stunning wedding, which took place on Sunday.

In a behind-the-scenes video ahead of Good Afternoon Britain, Emily said: "Hello everyone, by now you've probably seen or heard that Patrick and I got married at the weekend.

"We had the most wonderful day, and something that made it really quite special was all the amazing messages we received from you.

"We must have had hundreds if not thousands of well-wishes sent to us. Everyone had something lovely to say."

Emily went on to read out a selection of some of the messages they had received.

"It's made it so special for us to celebrate with you. I'm sure there'll be more and more pictures as we get our professional ones back from the day, and a video too, I'm sure, that captured all of the wonderful memories.

"But thank you so much."

In the exclusive video for GB News members, Emily also revealed the couple had had to change their honeymoon plans, due to the General Election having been called.

She said: "We were meant to be on our honeymoon right now, but of course because Rishi Sunak called the election, we must be here to continue with the coverage on GB News.

"For now, thank you very much indeed for all your well-wishes."
