Faiza said: “The Conservatives have ravaged this country in so many ways. Child poverty is at record levels. NHS waiting lists are also at record levels. We’ve seen more than 800 libraries closed across the country. And behind each of these statistics there are so many that are struggling, that are suffering.
She continued: The Tories have normalised all this and It’s almost the biggest damage they have done. So many now think that the inability to get a doctor’s appointment, the struggle to pay rent, not being able to afford food, are all how life should be, and that’s not ok.”
Meanwhile, Iain Duncan Smith has been hitting the campaign trail with former Home Secretary Priti Patel. In a post this week on X/formerly Twitter, Patel said: “Wonderful to be out in Woodford supporting my great friend and Conservative visionary Iain Duncan Smith alongside our Party Chairman Rich Holden.
“The residents of Chingford and Woodford Green have a strong voice in Parliament with Iain. His local track record of delivery and his ability to get stuff done is second to none. On the 4th July there is only one candidate trusted to deliver for Chingford and Woodford Green and that’s IDS.”
