Legendary singer Cyndi Lauper has sparked concern among some festival-goers at Glastonbury after she appeared to face some problems while performing on stage.

The Girls Just Want To Have Fun hitmaker took to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday afternoon but seemed to be dealing with sound issues, however some have slammed the 1980s star, with many "walking out" during her set.

The pop star took to the stage, greeting fans and enthusing how she was "glad to be playing here at Glastonbury" on Saturday.

She went on to wish the crowds a "happy Pride for those celebrating," according to The Mirror.

Unfortunately, it seems the iconic singer faced a mass walk out as she belted out her signature tune, Girls Just Want To Have Fun.

It didn't go unnoticed by fans, many of whom took to social media to report on the performance, with some seeming worried about the True Colours singer.

Taking to X, one person pondered: "I wonder if Cyndi Lauper’s band has in-ear monitoring delay issues. Cyndi seems to be singing half a beat behind everyone, and they all feel oddly disjointed, especially for an American session outfit."

"How out of time is Cyndi Lauper? Bl***y hell #Glastonbury2024 #glastonbury," another complained.

A third fumed: "Crikey Cyndi Lauper is a car crash. #glastonbury." However, many rushed to Lauper's defence and insisted the blunders hadn't been her fault while applauding the show she'd been able to pull off.

"Not happy with everyone saying #CyndiLauper can’t sing when it’s a sound issue #GLASTONBURY," someone argued.

"For a lass in her 70s Cyndi Lauper can still belt it out & put on a show. Shame the sound at the Pyramid is especially garbage this afternoon. #Glastonbury," another explained.

One fed up fan fumed: "Same bores whinging about Dua Lipa are on Cyndi Lauper now. if you want perfectly performed and recorded guitar widdling. go f*** off and listen to the eagles."

"Quite obvious Cyndi Lauper can't here anything in her earpieces. She is trying every song to count her band in at the start and then singing the best she can to her own pace. Shame she has some excellent songs. 71 and looking great and full if energy #Glastonbury," another praised. (sic)

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

It seems the unimpressed fans didn't go unnoticed by the singer though, with The Mirror going on to report she seemed "visibly upset".

Elsewhere, fans have been left disappointed by the BBC's coverage of the festival, with some complaining the broadcaster aren't showing enough of a variety of acts.

Others have been speculating which big names might be making unexpected appearances in the festival's signature secret set.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift is among the favourites of the rumoured artists hoped to make a shock arrival at the popular festival.
