“I had like a quick practice, but I have been going since 6:00 am with all the press, so I haven’t had a chance to focus on it. Fingers crossed.”

The Yankees dominated the game, winning 16-5 against the Blue Jays.

Reflecting on his hit Mr. Boombastic, celebrating its upcoming 30th anniversary, Shaggy mused on its enduring popularity.

Added Shaggy: “It’s the identify of Shaggy.  When you think of Shaggy it’s like Mr. Boombastic, and it’s a record I just, you know, those songs are magic.  You don’t know what they’re going to do or how to do it, but you know when you do that there’s something special and you just got to hold on to the coat tail and run with it.”

Shaggy and American R&B group 112 will perform at The Bowl at Sobey’s Stadium in Toronto on Saturday.

“From what I’ve been told it’s pretty lovely venue there with 112 tomorrow, and I think the audience is just gonna come…we have songs that are soundtracks of lot of ’s lives over three decades, so we’re just gonna play them and make that place rock,” Shaggy said.
