Blending folk, rock, a hint of jazz and a hefty dose of punk attitude, indie trailblazers Violent Femmes stood out in the 80s. And their influential sound still does today. Sum 41 are currently on a global farewell 'Tour of the Setting Sum', and the Canadian pop-punks will make Good Things the final Australian leg of the tour before hanging up their instruments for good. Just like the title of their breakout 2001 album, expect All Killer No Filler.

Electric Callboy are equally refreshing. From collaborations with Japan's BABYMETAL to techno-metal covers of '00s Europop hits, these Germans are an absolute riot live, mixing retro pop synths with arena-filling metalcore.

Smashing Pumpkins were on our shores last year, and sounding the best they have in years. Now, frontman Billy Corgan is backing it up, hitting Good Things with assistance from Australia's own The Delta Riggs to perform selections from his solo and Smashing Pumpkins catalogue.

Metalheads will be stoked to see sludge/stoner/prog titans Mastodon and Kerry King, armed with his first solo album outside of thrash legends Slayer. Plus, two of Australia's finest metalcore crews, Northlane and Alpha Wolf. The Gaslight Anthem are reunited and returning to Australia for the first time in more than a decade, while Texan pop-punk faves Bowling For Soup are back down under after 15 years. You've also got riot grrrl radicals L7, emo sensation Sleeping With Sirens, and a chance to get 'Down' with 311.

Repping the locals is newly minted ARIA Hall of Famers Jet, the ever-excellent The Living End, hard rockers The Butterfly Effect, and Killing Heidi, who'll perform their breakout debut album Reflector in full. ('Weir' sing-alongs anyone?)

Heck, you've even got '70s Kiwi rockers Dragon, best remembered for 'Rain', 'Are You Old Enough?'... less so for Scott Morrison's version of 'April Sun In Cuba'.

Korn, Violent Femmes and Dragon all on the same bill!? Only at Good Things! See you in the pit?

Here's the full line-up: Korn, Sum 41, Violent Femmes, Electric Callboy, Billy Corgan (with The Delta Riggs), Mastodon, Kerry King, The Gaslight Anthem, Jet, The Living End, L7, Northlane, Bowling For Soup, Alpha Wolf, Sleeping With Sirens, The Butterfly Effect, 311, AViVA, Destroy Boys, Dragon, Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls, From Ashes To New, Grandson, Highly Suspect, Imminence, Killing Heidi (performing Reflector in full), Loathe, Reliqa, Taylor Acorn, plus Stage 666
